New Season Seafood & BBQ Restaurant

Bit of a late post...story of my life.

We went to New Season Seafood & BBQ Restaurant to celebrate Fathers day. I was pleasantly surprised at the qaulity of the food. It's a new establishment right on busy Burwood Road (you can always tell because out the front there are pot plants and flower arrangements with ribbons and red packets attached to them).

Sorry about the picture quality. I had the filter on the lens....only realised halfway through the meal. Anyway, here are the fish tanks at the back of the restaurant

Complimentary soup

The restaurant had an opening special of free steamed oyster and scallop for each person during dinnner

I didn't touch the oysters - they are not my thing.
The scollaps however, mmmm mmmmm they were really good

Mongolian Lamb - look at it sizzle! I really liked the mongolian lamb here. We don't normally order it because it's associated with "take away" and it's usually not very good.

Crispy Skin Chicken - not the crispiest skin but still enjoyable. Plating needs some work....this does not look very appetising

The best dish of the night - Egg White Tofu with mixed seafood and vegetables

Spicy Squid - the flavour was there, but unfortunately it was overcooked so it was rubbery

Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner (we've been back since so it can't be that bad)

  1. Perhaps you should give them some tips on plating food ;) haha.. I only ever go out to eat a Chinese restaurants with my family, I never choose to go myself... but this looks like it would be decent, might suggest it for the next family get together!

  3. I adore seafood - the oysetrs and scallops have me feeling hungry!! The egg white tofu sounds interesting, and is not something I have come across before.

  4. Hi Cakelaw - it's not on the normal menu, my mum had to ask for it specifically but most decent Chinese restaurants would make it on the spot....I think
